The Canadian Wind Energy Association
(CanWEA) is hosting its 23rd Annual Conference and Trade Show in Québec City -
Sunday, September 30th to Wednesday, October 3, 2007. This is the largest
renewable energy event in Canada, with more than 1200 delegates and 160
exhibitors coming together to discuss Canada's booming wind energy market.
Before 2007 concludes, more than 400 MW of wind energy will have been added to
Canada's currently installed wind capacity of 1588 MW. In addition, more than
2,600 MW of new capacity have been contracted for construction over the next
five years and another 2,500 MW of contracts are expected to be issued by
mid-2008.
