International venture invests $2 billion in Chinese wind power

The international character of the renewable energy industry is illustrated by a project to develop a 1,650-megawatt portfolio of wind farms in China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region. The project was launched by Arcapita Bank (Manama, Bahrain), an international investment corporation, in a joint venture with Singapore-based Colossus Holdings, the holding company of the Tanti Group, an Indian conglomerate.
