Ontario officials investigating wind energy (19-04-2008)
John Williams, an electrician at General Motors said the wind speed in Ontario is 17 mph at about 100 meters. Thats enough wind speed to make wind energy generation feasible, Thomas Maves, an energy specialist for the Ohio Development Department, told a group of about 24 government, economic development and business officials Friday meeting. The group met at Ontario City Hall to discuss the possibility of using the wind as a source of electricity in Richland County.
